Miami University students who are ranked in the top twenty percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2017-18 have been named to the dean's list recognizing academic excellence.

Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

Dean's List honors are earned by undergraduate students who carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale.

Miami University Students Study Abroad Winter 2018 Semester

Sixty-five Youngstown State University students were recognized for scholarship, leadership and other achievements recently at YSU's annual Student Awards Banquet. The event was sponsored by the university's Student Government, Student Experience and Student Activities.

Thirty-nine students achieved membership in Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology, in the spring 2018 semester.

Youngstown State University students made up the cast and much of the production team when the Dana School of Music presented the Jules Massenet opera "Cinderella", on stage earlier this spring in Bliss Hall's Ford Theater on campus. "Cinderella" was the fifth opera at YSU staged under the auspices of the Donald P. Pipino Performing Arts Series.

Youngstown State University recognized leaders of campus Greek organizations as part of the univeristy's Greek Sing competition at Stambaugh Auditorium earlier this spring.

Youngstown State University's Chapter of Beta Gamma Sigma, hosted by the Williamson College of Business Administration, installed 47 business students during induction ceremonies on campus. Beta Gamma Sigma is the world's premier business honorary reserved exclusively for schools accredited by AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Students who receive a term grade point average of 3.3 or higher while completing at least three courses for a conventional letter grade earn the fall 2017 Dean's Award for Academic Excellence.

Over 60 students participated in the 17th Annual Dance Marathon at Baldwin Wallace University. Dance Marathon is the largest philanthropy organization on campus. Lasting 12 hours, the marathon consists of performers, dance and HIV/AIDS education. All proceeds are donated to the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, which seeks to educate and reduce the the transmission and cases of pediatric AIDS worldwide.

Seven Business students from Youngstown State University have been selected to participate in the Ohio Export Internship Program this year. The program, created by the Ohio Development Services Agency, provides an opportunity for businesses to involve highly motivated college students to help in expanding their exporting activities.

Youngstown State University is recognizing its top students by naming them to the prestigious President's List. The honorees are full-time undergraduate students who have earned a 4.0 average for not less than 12 semester hours of credit in the semester just ended.

The following students have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester at Baldwin Wallace University according to Stephen D. Stahl, Provost. Students who receive at least a 3.6 GPA for seven or more graded hours in a single semester are named to the Dean's List.
